I just posted the following on his "X" platform as an open letter.
"I grew up on the East Side of Toledo.
My oldest brother. after graduating from Waite High School, decided to go into the Christian Ministry (Disciples of Christ). He graduated from Northwest Christian College in Eugene, OR.
My cousin has been a Christian minister as well.
My religious journey began playing in a Christian rock band at 15. We were called “The Alive Generation”. I played bass, guitar, and sang. We had about 10 other people who played instruments and sang.
We went around Toledo to different denominations playing music and spreading the word of God. To better understand things, I read the Bible, cover to cover, twice. It would be fair to say that in those days I considered myself a “Jesus freak”. While I did not realize it at the time, I was developing my empathy.
Then one day, I overheard our band leader and a minister talking. They were discussing business, but the tone coming from the minister was disturbing. Now I cannot remember the conversation (I was 17 at the time), but it left me in such a state that I quit the band.
I felt that if ministers could not follow the teachings in how they treated other people, why should I listen to what they had to say?
Since then, I have not attended any organized church. I feel that if I live my life according to the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount, then when I leave this earth, I can say I did my best.
This is why I can only shake my head at Rep. Gary Click and this posting.
You would think that a man of God would not promote hatred. Saying things like” I do relish the fact that the weirdos hate me so much that they create their own set of baseless facts to lie and attack me.”
Labeling these people as “weirdos” invites people the ability to demean them as well. Calling a person names without offering context gives a license to other people to join in that loathing. A man of God would (and should) be working to mitigate the hate within their own community.
A man of God who welcomes hatred without working to diffuse it is in the words of the Bible “a false prophet”.
I am sure there are other better men of God that can give advice or guidance.
That image of Click unironically looks like he's doing a certain gesture. The one that Elon claimed was a Roman Salute
Politicians put the psycho in psychology

Rep. Gary Click is not one of them.
